The continent's edge : papers, 1978-1979.

The plot follows the fortunes of the Kinsales, a pioneer oil-drilling family, from 1923-to 1940. Its cast of characters includes historical figures such as Hearst, Giannini, and Wendell Wilkie, whose presidential campaign thrusts the Kinsales into the midst of some California Republican wheeling and dealing. The papers include a photocopy of the 1019-page typescript which includes the printer's notes, corrections by Busch, and those of the stylist for Simon and Schuster.
